The NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation is my first foundation from the brand. I got this at the NARS store located at Suria KLCC last year for RM 180 and I have been using it ever since. The girls who worked there were so helpful and friendly. They assist me to get my self colour-matched.

The first shade they had me to try on was Syracuse and Stromboli but both seemed to be bit either too olive or too reddish for my skin. Then I picked up the shade Medium 4 - Barcelona which seemed to be a good match for my medium complexion with golden/yellow undertones.

Barcelona might look lighter than my face but after blending it well up to my neck area and topping it up with my powdered foundation, it seem to suit me pretty well!

Packaging
The foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle which comes with a pump which is great because personally I feel it is much easier to deposit the foundation through a pump rather than getting it poured out from a bottle (which can get a tad messy) especially with a runny foundation like this one.

Consistency
This foundation has a runny texture which i feel that it will make it easier to work with. The foundation appears dewy but when you start to apply it and blend it with will turn into this matte texture (not drying).

So those who has dry skin its crucial to moisturize your face before applying this foundation. I use a buffing brush or a beauty sponge (both from Real Techniques which I got it from Shins) works well with this foundation.

It feels silky soft on my skin. It is said to be luminous in which I can agree as it has like of a satin finish on my skin. And by "luminous" it doesn't contain any shimmer or glitter in it so the luminous effect comes of naturally.

Coverage
It is claimed that one pump of this foundation is able to cover the whole face BUT I can honestly say that it is slightly incorrect. One pump of this foundation was not enough for me. I actually needed at least two pumps to get the right coverage that I want. If I feel that I need more, I will add on another pump.

This foundation is full coverage and by full coverage I don't mean thick, heavy or cakey. It is actually formulated to be 'weightless' with a 'runny' texture to not only feel light on the skin but also heavily pigmented which is what makes it full coverage. Make sure to shake the bottle before usage and a little does go a long way!

Longevity
The product claims to be a 16 hour long wear but I don't think it stood that long on my face. If you want it to be long lasting you need to touch up in between if you plan to wear it for a long period of time OR get a thick, full coverage foundation.

I set the foundation with a powder based foundation and also a loose powder and it did stay well on my face. However I do feel that I need to touch-up or blot my oily areas especially the T-zone but besides than that I don't find any problem with it. But its not 100% transfer resistant as it can transfer due to humid conditions.

Swatches

Overall
I honestly think that with 2 pumps I don't feel that it is thick/heavy on my skin and it really lives up to the claim that its weightless. I really love the satin luminous matte finish of this foundation that it gives. The packaging gives off a classy feel.

But if you are looking for a foundation which can last you up to 12 hours or more, I am afraid to say that this foundation is not the one. But besides that, this is my current go to foundation.

This foundation comes in 20 different shades for anyone with all colours and it is fragrance-free

I would rate this product  4/5 stars!

Make Up Review : ABH Modern Renaissance Palette

Helllooooo everybody! In this post I am gonna be doing a review on this beautiful palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH). I am starting on this product because this has been my current favorite.

ABH produces good eye-shadow palettes that are mostly raved about. One of them is this Modern Renaissance palette which is most hyped about. This is my first eye-shadow palette from ABH and it definitely lived up to its hype.

When I first saw this palette on YouTube, I instantly fell in love with the colors. Maybe I was unsure about getting this palette because I was worried about how am I gonna work on these berry toned shades that are in this palette but I eventually got them after months of good thinking just to see what's all the hype about.

So let's see what this palette has got to offer.

Packaging
This palette comes with a light pinkish colour cardboard box cover and the palette itself has a nice velvet-y material which gives off a luxurious look and feeling to it but it can get dirty easily and it can be noticeable. This is why I always keep the palette inside the box to avoid getting it stained.

On the inside, the palette comes with a mirror and a double-ended brush (a flat brush and a blending brush). They have listed the names of each shade in a rose-gold embedded font. The material used to make the body of this palette makes this palette not only look pretty but is also actually light which makes it travel friendly

The double-ended brush that comes with the palette
(excuse the dirty side of the brush as i have used it recently)

Price/Value
Although this palette is not available for sale in any Malaysia retail store, it is not a huge obstacle that stops you from buying it as you can actually purchase it from Sephora or buy it online via the ABH website with a shipping fees attached to it. However, you can get this palette through any online shop on Instagram that sells authentic make up products just like how I got mine from ShoplikeSurie for RM 215 (excluding postage).

Just take note and be aware to get the authentic ones in which obviously the fake ones would be more cheaper than the usual price. If you would like to know how to distinguish between the real one and the fake one in detail, you can watch this YouTube video about it.

The palette contains 14 beautiful shades which are extremely pigmented which mean you do not have to use a lot of the product to build up the color and with good pigmentation comes with good staying power. Therefore, a little goes a long way.

Shades

The palette has 14 eye-shadows that comes in a range from neutral to berry tones. 10 of them are matte shades, 3 metallic shade and 1 satin shade.

Tempera is a beige matte shade
Golden Ochre is an earthy yellow matte shade
Vermeer is an iridescent shell metallic shade
Buon Fresco is an antique lavender matte shade
Antique Bronze is a metallic sable satin shade
Love Letter is a raspberry matte shade
Cyprus Umber is a dark coffee matte shade
Raw Sienna is a neutral amber matte shade
Burnt Orange is a deep orange matte shade
Primavera is a shimmery gold matte shade
Red Ochre is a sienna matte shade
Venetian Red is a crimson matte shade
Warm Taupe is an earthy gray matte shade
Realgar is a brick matte shade

Formula
I personally find these eye shadows easy to blend and the formula/texture of it is so butter-ry. All shades have very good colour payoff as how they appear in the palette. However, I have noticed that this formula creates a fall out on some of the shades as I used them.

My favorite shades from the palette are Raw Sienna & Burnt Orange (both are perfect transition colors for me), Tempera & Vermeer (brow highlight), Realger (crease color) and Venetian Red & Love Letter (beautiful berry shades).

Overall
Personally I will use it with a primer and even with or without, the eye-shadows stayed pretty long on my eyes. It is totally optional to use a primer before applying these shadows but I recommend anyone to have a primer on since it will act as a base for my shadows to stick on to and also prevent my eye-shadows from creasing.

This palette is versatile enough to create looks from day to night for any occasions. I think these shades are suitable for any skin color which I find happy about because I feel it is important for the any eye-shadow to look beautiful on any skin tone.

I love this palette because of the quality and the variety of shades that you can create depending on your preference together with its amazing quality. This palette has been my go-to eye-shadow palette because it contains pretty shades that pair wonderfully and it is easy to work with. I can go from a day-time neutral look to a smokey-eye later at night.

However, I personally do not like the packaging as it gets dirty easily and it's expensive. For those who can afford this I would recommend you to get your hands on this one! So,let me know if you had the chance to grab this palette and what you actually think about it.

I would definitely give this product a rating of 4/5 stars
